 World We Dare to Imagine part 1 I really like the perspective that The Blue Sweater has of how much actual action is more powerful and impactful than simply donating money to the needed. Also, doing something good to the society is about reaching more people (even people we don't know or haven't really met in the real life), connecting with more communities and spreading love to more places. The story of author seeing her blue sweater was worn by a little boy in Africa really inspired me to think of something more creatively that could be beneficial for the community. Random Post 2 I started to binge starting a Netflix series Atypical a few days ago and turned out to love the show very much.  I finished the season 1 in two days.  I really like the protagonist - Sam, a high school child on autism spectrum. He is pretty "weird" - he likes Antartica so much since he knows everything about it and shares it to everyone. He has never dated a girl before and didn't know how to start. But Sam has started to figure out his way of finding a girlfriend. I like him so much because he was the type of person who lives in his own world, and is able to keep distant with other people.  Book 2 Post 2  I am very interested in discussing the terminology - Healthism. I haven't realized that there is an academic term for the way of valuing health as the one superior thing in the society. Regardless of not knowing the term itself, I have had so many thoughts about Healthism.  Firstly, the thought of if you are "fat" or not healthy enough, you are not trying hard enough is invading people's life. In China, when you walk around the shopping mall, you would encounter sales from Fitness center coming around to greet you. What they would say to you is mainly - your body seems a bit unhealthy and needs some workout to catchup. You should try hard enough to improve your health. That selling moves are so common that many people are persuaded and started to subscribe for the services.  Book 2 Post 1 I decided to read Audrey Gordon's What We Don't Talk about When We Talk about Fat for the second book at the course. The reason behind is that I have been gaining some weights (so is my girlfriend) during the quarantine. We both felt pretty stressed out and unhappy about being fatter than before. I would love to learn more about the wrong mindset and how the society is bring to the group of people that might have fat issues. I would love to hear their thoughts. When I read the introduction, I already felt the stress by author's descriptions about how the world and people around the fat people group being ignorant and indifferent about the body by showing pity, concerns, and more negative emotions toward. People are scared of being fat and people are afraid of themselves not being able to lose weight eventually. These mindsets are inevitably putting pressures on the group.
