World We Imagine Part 3 - Sustainable Education
Sustainable Education
Mission
To help homeless youth and children from underserve communities to get better education and professional development.
Purpose/Rationale
Education is one of most important things that determine one’s career path and education inequality can consolidate the social stratification of different social classes. At Sustainable Education want to provide affordable and accessible education to homeless youth and children from underserve communities.
Uniqueness
We wanted to collaborate with actual high education and technical schools to provide youth with real college programs. We firmly believe that having children get into actual college program can better help them blend in with other people in society and it could help their future development. Also, we want to create it as network similar to USC Trojan Network. Teenagers who successfully get into college could always welcome to come back for volunteer counseling to other children. We want these children to help each other out and be able to have a unique spirit.
Business Model
We collect or receive clothing donations from the public and resell it at a higher price. The employees we hire are not just individuals but family members who want their children to have better education program or career development. If they work at Sustainable Education, their children or relatives' kid are eligible for participating into our education program and financing support for higher education. All the revenue we received from selling clothes will be used for
Why Invest?
We look for investment that could help us set up the business initially and be able to help expand our network with more college. We will promise to be very transparent in the spending and will dedicate our resources and effort in help these children from underserve communities.
